he Sacred Avalon Tour

Are you enchanted by the wonder, the magic of Avalon?

Do you hunger for the mysteries found in every rock, flower and tree?

Do the mysteries of the divine feminine whisper to you day and night?

Do tales of King Arthur, Merlin and Camelot fill you with wonder?

Are you stuck in a rut, tired of the same schedule, day in and day out?

Is it healing you seek – of the heart, mind, body and spirit?

The Sacred Avalon Tour is your answer! And here’s why…

If you’re ready for a vacation that fills you with the magic of Avalon, leaves you feeling deeply connected to nature and opens your heart to the joy, the wonder of life then the Sacred Avalon Tour is definitely for you!

Imagine waking up to a cool dewy morning at one of the world’s most sacred and legendary sites. The air is fresh and full of promise. We are headed to, what many believe to be, Avalon.

Allow the spring breeze to ignite your spirit as you tour the English countryside and her spiritual landmarks including private access at Stonehenge and the equally amazing Standing Stone of Avesbury.

Carol Weakland, who began studying, as well as writing about Avalon and Camelot at a very early age, will remind us of history, local lore and provide us with special incites made possible by guidance she receives from the Fae. She will also lead us through guided meditations and Avalon rituals that help us connect to Morgan Le Fay, the Sisterhood, King Arthur and Merlin, as well as fairies of all kinds. This will be an exploration of Avalon’s Mystery School from the Fairy Tradition. It will be a week to remember.  Don’t miss it!

And finally, envision the laughter and joie-de-vivre you spontaneously share with other compassionate, creative and enthusiastic people who’ve joined you for this once-in-a-lifetime adventure!

So where are we headed?

Legendary Tor, Chalice Well Gardens and Wearyall Hill

20141027_155308_llsLey lines from all over the world intersect at the Glastonbury Tor which makes for an incredibly magical experience. The Tor is the heart and soul of Sacred Avalon.  We will explore the Tor from its levels to crest, discuss its historical past and partake in meditations and rituals that connect us with Morgan, the Sisterhood and Avalon’s waters from the Red Spring flow through the Chalice Well, which some believe is the final resting place of the Holy Grail. We will delight in the beauty of the gardens, pause for reflection at the Well and even dunk our toes in the Healing Waters of King Arthur’s Pool.  Here we will meditate with Morgan on the powers of healing.

  • It is believed that Joseph of Aramathea traveled to Glastonbury and struck his staff into the ground of Wearyall Hill, which brought forth the Holy Thorn. At the foot of this hill once stood at Shrine to Mary Magdalene.  The c Goddess Bridget is also connected with this area.  We will pay homage to the divine feminine in all her glory!

Glastonbury Abbey

Glastonbury Abbey was a rich and powerful monastery in Somerset. Long ago, a grave was unearthed on the Abbey grounds, which some believe is the final resting place of King Arthur. Morgan is believed to have brought Arthur to Avalon so she could heal his wounds.  We will tour the Abbey grounds, marvel at the beauty of the ruins and pause for reflection at King Arthur’s grave, a perfect melding of stone and sky energies.

Goddess Temple

“THE GODDESS is alive in Glastonbury,

visible for all to see in the shapes of the sacred landscape.

She is soft as the rounded hills of Her body and sweet as the apple blossom that grows in Her orchards.

Here Her love enfolds us every day and Her voice is always near,

carried on the wind, whispering through the mists of Avalon.

Her Mysteries are as deep as the Cauldron She stirs, taking us down into Her depths and lifting us up to Her heights.

She is our Source, our Inspiration and our Love.”

Our Tour will begin here and revel in the wisdom of the Divine Feminine.  This is the perfect opportunity to connect with Morgan, Lady of Avalon, the Sisterhood, Bridget and Cerridwen on a personal level!

Who wouldn’t want to check that out?

South Cadbury Hill (believed to be Camelot)

Cadbury Castle is a Bronze and Iron Age hillfort that still boasts a series of trenches, evidence of a moat.  It is a place where magic abounds.  Many believe it is Camelot. Carol will show how she conceived the dragonesque fortress in her Morgen of Avalon novels.  She will also demonstrate on a clear day how you can see Avalon from this vantage point.  On Midsummer Night it is still believed that Arthur and his knights ride down South Cadbury Hill and into the surrounding countryside.  We will meditate on Arthur, Merlin and the Sacred Order of the Round Table.

Private access to Stonehenge

This will be an early morning event when our tour group is allowed private access into Stonehenge, a prehistoric monument in Wiltshire, England. We will be allowed to walk among the stones, but not touch them.  We will be well situated to enact an Avalon Ritual of spiritual awakening at this time.  Stonehenge is an astronomical observatory for both solar and lunar observations. At the 21st of June the rising sun in the North East shines its light in between the Heel Stone onto the Alter Stone at the center of Stonehenge.

Standing Stone Of Avesbury

Avebury is a World Heritage Site and is the largest stone circle in Europe. It’s comprised of a large outer stone circle and two separate smaller stone circles inside the centre of the monument.  Here we will actually be able to touch the stones and feel the power of their magic.   This is the gnome kingdom at its best!

Tintagel by the sea.

This is an area of unparalleled beauty which also happens to be considered King Arthur’s birthplace.  Carol also utilizes this as King Mark’s realm in her novels.  If this were not intriguing enough, underneath the cliff lies Merlin’cave.  We will commune with Merlin and the Fairies of the Sea!

Our day trip to Wales brings us to the old Roman Fortress at Caerleon.  This is where Carol sets King Arthur’s military fortress in “Morgen of Avalon: Dreamspell.”  It is also where Geoffrey of Monmouth places King Arthur’s court.  Today we find the remnants of a walled Roman city and foundations of an amphitheater.  Seen below.  Set amidst the rolling hills of the Welsh countryside, Caerleon is a place of magic, of wide open spaces where the air is pure and unhampered by buildings.  We will take this time to invoke an Avalon purification ritual.

We will be exploring and connecting to some of the world’s significant energy centers as we explore the mysteries of Avalon, an empowering, life-changing experience. Each event is carefully and mindfully designed to deeply immerse you in the magic and wonder of Avalon. It’s a loving expression and a celebration of life.

The Sacred Avalon Tour Mystery School teachings help you –

1) Celebrate the magic found in stream, rock, wind and fire.

2)  Experience the healing energies that course through the earth and all living things.

3)Release energies that no longer serve and open up to new possibilities.

4) Engage with nature and all its’ inhabitants in a way that is connected, open hearted and radiantly real.

5) Revel in your inherent oneness with the Divine                                                                                                                    At the end of this retreat, your favorite souvenir will be your newfound sense of bliss!

We will stay in charming Glastonbury Holiday Homes.  The 1865 Georgian cottages are in a gated, garden setting near the Abbey. Each unit has two bedrooms, private bath, kitchen and living room area. The garden courtyard is an oasis within Glastonbury’s town center.  A peaceful retreat yet conveniently located to city center. The Abbey’s gate is a stone’s throw from cottages.  There is also a washing machine and dryer on the premises, if needed.

The facilities include a Hot Tub and Sauna lodge, together with a well-appointed Therapy room should any guest wish to take advantage, during their stay, of the many Therapists/Healers practicing in our beautiful ‘Isle of Avalon’.

The Fond Farewell

On our last day, we will hike one last time together up the Tor and enact a closing Avalon ritual.  Feeling renewed, we will head back to Glastonbury and pause for reflection at the White Spring. We will bring all aspects of the Sacred Avalon Tour together – integrating, relaxing and reflecting on the power of the ancient teachings and our shared experiences.

Your Retreat Leaders

Superwoman of Avalon and the Fairy World.

Carol Weakland is an accomplished author, actress, Reiki/Rainbow healer & entrepreneur that rekindles our relationship with Avalon and the Guardians of Nature (Fairies). From a young age she has been connected to nature and the fae. She has spent her career researching and writing about the lore of Camelot with a special emphasis on Morgan and Avalon’s ancient Mystery School from the fairy tradition. Having spent countless hours in and around these sacred sites, Carol, who is also an award winning story-teller and tour guide, is the perfect leader. With her gracious, kind, fairy-like way she will lead us into the magical world that she knows so well.

This week long retreat is sacred as the Avalon Mystery School Teachings we will share. We will be evoking Morgan, the Sisterhood, the Lady of the Lake, King Arthur, Merlin, as well as Kings and Queens of the various Fairy realms, requesting assistance from Gnomes, Sylphs, Salamanders and Undines.  It will be an advent of a lifetime!

Fantastic Escort

Composer, psychic intuitive and former host of “The Psychic’s Guide to the Universe,” Nick Ashron will escort us to and from our magical outings. Nick is an absolute gem.  You are going to love him. He is currently performing his new musical “The Seven Winds” at locations throughout the UK.  You often find him at Mind Body Spirit Festivals or gigging with his band Elfin Spiral! He also runs empowering workshops and Spirit Guide Portrait Days throughout the UK.

Travel Support

Laura Wolf is a free-spirited designer and joy spreader who was trained as an architect, but has a serious case of ‘the travel bug’. She travels as often as possible; near and far. She enjoys stretching her comfort zone in order to discover more about herself, other cultures and be reminded of how much beauty exists on this wonderful planet. She loves taking road trips with her family while making new friends along the way. I hope you’ll be one of them!

When she’s not designing buildings or jet setting around the planet, she enjoys delving into her spiritual side. She is a Reiki practitioner, Theta Healer and loves to get her hands dirty in the garden. Her preferred way to unwind is to pour a glass of wine and cook a delicious meal.

Morgen of Avalon Tours

Have you ever dreamed of walking in the footsteps of Morgen and the Sisterhood, Merlin, King Arthur and the Knights of Camelot?

I am in the process of arranging the first Morgen of Avalon Tours.  Please look at the prospective destinations and see which appeal to you.  Needless to say – Glastonbury and Cadbury are definite stops.

Arrival Day – arrive at London Heathrow and meet our driver, Nick Ashron.  Nick is a composer, psychic intuitive and former host of “The Psychic’s Guide to the Universe,” as well as a dear friend.  Nick will drive us to Glastonbury where we will stay at Glastonbury Holiday Homes, unpack and relax.

Day 1 – Introduction to Avalon (Glastonbury)

1) We will begin with a meditation at the Goddess Temple

2) We will walk (if agreeable) to the Chalice Well and Gardens

3) We will hike up the Glastonbury Tor, enjoy the views which extend to Camelot and beyond, then begin our meditations with Morgen and the Sisterhood.  We will also pay homage to the Faerie King in all his glory.  At this time we will also enjoy a sack lunch.

4) After our descent we will stop at the White Spring and pay homage to the triple Goddess.

5) We will visit the Glastonbury Abbey ruins and pay special homage at King Arthur’s grave.

6) Dinner

7) Evening free

Day 2 – Introduction to Camelot (South Cadbury Hill)

1) We will drive to South Cadbury, then walk up the famed hill where Arthur and his knights still ride, especially on Midsummer Night.  Here I will show how I envisioned Camelot.  We will see the trenches which mark an ancient moat and spy Avalon as well as the surrounding countryside.  We will also begin meditations to connect with Arthur Pendragon, Merlin and the many people of Camelot.

2) Lunch at South Cadbury

3) Return to Glastonbury and relax in the marvelous shops.

4) Dinner

5) We will visit Wearyall Hill (connected to Joseph of Aramathea) and see the holy thorn tree, as well as glorious views of the Tor. Here we will begin a meditation to the Goddess Bridget

6) Visit the Beckery, former site of a temple to Mary Magdelene and home to the Goddess Bridget.

Day 3: Stonehenge/Avesbury

1) I would very much like to visit both Stonehenge and Avesbury as time permits.  In Avesbury – you can actually touch the stones.  Private access to the stones at Stonehenge is available if we reserve a spot in a timely fashion.  We will conduct a faerie ritual.  It would be Stonehenge in the morning, travel to Avesbury, lunch in the town and then walk among the stones.

2) If time permits we will visit Gog and Magog, ancient oaks from a druidic grove.

3) We will finish with the Avalon peace invocation at Glastonbury Tor.

Cadbury Castle - Camelot

Cadbury Castle – Camelot

Day 4: Caerleon Wales (In “Dreamspell” this is Arthur’s fortress.) You can still see the amphitheater.  Special meditation to Merlin.

Caerleon Ampitheater, Carleon, Wales

Day 5: Tintagel – place of Arthur’s birth, along with Merlin’s cave.  Tintagel is in picturesque Cornwall overlooking the sea.  (In “Epiphany” – this is also King Mark’s strong hold/ Tristan and Isolde story-line.)

Day 6:  Will be one of the following.  I would like to consider – Chester (“Child of Destiny”) see the amphitheater and goddess temple to Minerva, walk along the River Dee (like Morgen)

Conwy – beautiful Conwy mountain is the home of King Urien, stunning views of the Irish Sea.  The city of Conwy still boasts a fabulous castle and is one of the last walled cities in the UK.
